About Perrisblu

Perrisblu is based in South Wales. All of our Terrier's benifit from residing in close proximity to the beach and common land. We pride ourselves on breeding terriers with excellent sound tempraments. The majorityof our hand reared puppies are sold to caring family homes many of whom return to Perrisblu for  additional 'family members'.

Whilst exhibiting Terriers is our hobby- they are first and foremost our pets. Perrisblu's older champions live as members of the family - we run a small, select kennel ensuring that our dogs receive the best one to one attention.

Perrisblu

The name Perrisblu comes from

"Perris" - an area of great natural beauty where we regularly exercised our Welsh Cobs. 

"blu" is reference to our dedication to Kerry Blue Terriers.

 

History

The history of Perrisblu dates back over three generations. Albert Beale (Phil Davies's grandfather) originally bred and successfully exhibited Welsh Terries. Albert Davies (Phil Davies's father) now works tirelessly behind the scenes and contributes immeasurably to our world famous Kerry Blue Terriers which now take centre stage.

 

 

About Phil Davies

In 2009 Phil was elected as a Member of The Kennel Club, having previously been elected as a member of the Welsh Kennel Club. In addition he is a member of the Kerry Blue Club of England. In 2010 Perrisblu received the accolade of Kennel Club Accredited Breeder.

 

Phil currently awards Challenge Certificates in Kerry Blue Terries and judges Wire Fox and Smooth Fox Terriers at Championship Shows. Judging excursions to Europe include the Worldwide Terrier Festival 2010 in Denmark.

 

Renowned for exacting standards of presentation and condition, in-depth knowledge of canine nutrition means all our show dogs are exhibited to our own perfecting standards. In pursuit of the very best, we travel abroad to assess and where appropriate import stock.

 Success

Our Terriers are world renowned and are one of the leading kennels of Kerry Blue Terriers in the United Kingdom. Examples of our success include; Reserve Best in Show at Crufts 2006, Top Kerry Blue / Top Terrier 2001/ World Winner  2003 And Welsh dog of The Millennium with Champion 'Royal Fern' more recently Top Kerry Blue Puppy 2008 / Top Kerry Blue Terrier 2009 was awarded to our selectively shown Champion 'Chelsey'.  

Our Terriers are successful on the world stage - Champion 'Paris' after making her mark in the UK was dominant in the United States of America becoming An American Champion in one week end - achieving Top Kerry Blue Terrier, winning Best of Breed at Montgomery County Championship in 2007 and Best of Breed at Westminster Kennel Club 2008 furthermore Champion 'The Governor' is a multiple group and Best in Show winner in South Africa.

 

Welsh and Norfolk Terriers

Whilst Perrisblu currently concentrates on Kerry Blue Terriers we also have a strong interest in breeding Welsh and Norfolk Terriers. We have exhibited both these breeds with significant success including Reserve Best Puppy In Show at National Terrier Championship Show and Challenge/ Reserve Challenge Certificate winners not forgetting of course Reserve Best In Show at the world famous Crufts Dog Show in 2006.
